Own a striking piece of natural history with this authentic fossilized fragment of a Triceratops frill —  a rare and evocative relic from one of the most iconic dinosaurs of the Late Cretaceous period, around 68 to 65 million years ago.

The Triceratops (“three-horned face”) was a massive, herbivorous dinosaur known for its powerful build, impressive horns, and its broad, bony frill extending from the back of the skull. While long thought to serve primarily as defense against predators like Tyrannosaurus rex, paleontologists now believe the frill may have had multiple purposes, including species recognition, thermoregulation, and courtship displays — much like the antlers or crests seen in modern animals.

Each 5.6" acrylic display includes a fragment of authentic fossilized triceratops frill, uncovered in the Hell Creek Formation of North America, in a removable specimen jar.
