We built the palette backward from a drink. It went round a few times, and the only real change each time was pulling the brightness down until it stopped shouting. The version we shipped is the quietest one we made, which is not where anyone expected it to land when it started out named after a cocktail. Surf and Storm is the blue version.

The quick-dry, four-way stretch shell moves with you, with two side pockets, a zip back pocket, and a metal-tipped drawstring that will never fray. But the key to it all is what's inside. Once you #FEELtheLINER, every answer will be "It's the liner." We said goodbye to mesh and built these shorts around a no chafe compression brief with a barely there feel and a second skin fit. Sewn right in, no scratchy net, no second pair underneath feel, so nothing rubs and nothing moves, wet or dry. That is what lets you go from the waterfront to the wine bar, or take a quick swim before sunset, without changing.
