Leviathan Kratos axe with carved handle 34.25"

Meet Leviathan. Frost with a story to tell

Before Kratos carried Leviathan, it belonged to Faye, for whom Brok and Sindri forged it. The axe carries that history into his journey with Atreus. Its frozen character holds a story of family, loss and resolve.

Blue and gold, brought into real steel

This hand-forged Leviathan Axe combines a 1060 high-carbon steel head, a carved wooden handle and a leather-wrapped grip. Blue patterns spread across the blade, framed by gold—a design that rewards a closer look.

Take hold. Discover the scale of the legend

The broad head gives the axe a substantial presence in your hands. Leather meets your palm; carved wood follows the curve of the handle. What you remember as an image now has weight, texture and a place in your world.

Gold follows the lines of frost

At the workbench, we paint the blade’s decorative details by hand. Golden lines frame the blue patterns across dark steel. The contrast gives this Leviathan its character, with careful brushwork visible up close.

Carved in steel. Returned to the fire

The finished runes remain visible as the axe head heats in the forge. For orders with Heat Treatment & Hardening, this stage follows carving—bringing working capability to the decorated blade.

Follow the carving into the grain

Our craftsman cuts the handle’s ornament into wood by hand, working along its curved surface. Natural grain runs between the carved lines. The handle offers another part of the story to discover beneath your fingers.

Give this Leviathan a name of its own

Choose Custom Engraving to add a name, date, dedication or logo to the wooden handle. We laser-cut your design into the wood, giving this legendary artifact a personal connection. Engraving is an optional addition.

The laser makes the mark. Our hands finish it

After engraving, we paint the recessed design by hand to increase contrast against the wood. The lettering becomes clearer while the natural grain remains visible. Your chosen message receives its own careful finish.

Carry its presence beyond the display

Select Heat Treatment & Hardening for a functional Leviathan Axe suited to chopping. The treatment improves edge retention, helping the blade stay sharp through use. Available as an optional upgrade.

Cover the edge. Keep the character

The optional 2-Piece Sheath for Leviathan Axe fits around the blade for storage and transport. Brown leather and stitched details complement the wood, blue patterns and golden finish. Sheath sold separately.

Set sail with a golden Drakkar

The optional gold-coloured Drakkar Wall Mount displays your axe horizontally within a Norse longship design. Its prow and oars echo the blade’s golden details, giving the whole arrangement a place on your wall. Sold separately.
