Fahr el-Nissa did innovative work again in both theme and technique of his painting. He embodied poetic inspirations in his art, using criss-crossing lines and contours. He used cat hair and bird feathers to make brushes that conveyed intricate and nuanced content, seldom using straight lines, so that his figures and other living things were full of dynamism. In form he did not follow geometric rules, instead being naturally fluent, yet with an indistinct feeling.
