This hand-forged Leviathan Axe pairs a 1060 high-carbon steel head with a carved ash handle and leather grip. Blue details punctuate the dark metal, giving its broad silhouette the quiet character of winter.

The head carries a deliberate weight; leather softens the feel of the handle beneath your palm. Lift the axe to your shoulder and feel its scale. The frozen world you remember gains texture, balance and presence.

A touch of blue brings the details to life

We apply colour by hand to the axe’s decorative details. Against dark steel and warm ash, the blue accents draw your eye along the design—a small touch that shapes the character of the whole artifact.

From rough steel to a sweeping blade

The grinder follows the axe head’s curves, refining the surface with each pass. Sparks fall as the smith works towards the finished outline. The blade’s familiar sweep takes shape through careful work in steel.

The grain becomes part of the design

Our carver cuts the handle’s ornament into ash wood by hand. Lines and contours follow its curved form while the natural grain remains visible. Look closely, then run your fingers over the work: the texture tells its own story.

Write your chapter into the wood

With optional Custom Engraving, a name, date, message or logo is laser-cut into the ash handle. Choose words that connect you to the artifact—or a dedication that makes it unmistakably someone else’s.

A careful finish makes your message stand out

Once the laser has cut your design, we paint the recessed marks by hand. The added contrast makes the engraving clearer against the wood grain, giving your chosen words a distinct place among the handle’s carved details.

Fit the blade with handcrafted leather

The optional 2-Piece Premium Leather Sheath follows the axe head’s shape and helps protect the blade during storage and transport. Stitched leather adds a warm texture beside the cold steel. Sheath sold separately.

Choose an edge made for work

Select Heat Treatment & Hardening to receive a functional Kratos axe suited to chopping. The treatment improves edge retention for use beyond the collection room. Hardening is an optional upgrade to the blade.
