Hand-forged Leviathan axe with leather wrap

Meet the Leviathan Axe. A legacy held in steel

Forged by Brok and Sindri for Faye, the Leviathan Axe later passes to Kratos. Its frost-bound story follows a father and son through the Nine Realms. An artifact that carries the memory of one journey into the next.

Forged steel. Carved wood. Legendary presence

A hand-forged 1060 high-carbon steel head meets an ash-wood handle wrapped in leather. Dark engraved patterns and the sweeping blade give this Leviathan Axe the familiar presence of the artifact you remember.

Hold the legend. Feel the story take weight

Steel gives the axe its weight; leather settles beneath your palm. Your fingers meet the texture of carved wood as you lift it. The familiar silhouette becomes something you can feel, hold and make part of your world.

Patina applied by hand. Character revealed in steel

We brush patina onto the axe head by hand to achieve its dark finish. The colour brings contrast to the engraved patterns and polished edge, giving the Leviathan Axe the weathered character you remember.

Refined by hand. Revealed in steel

The smith works the axe head against the grinder, refining its contours and surface. Sparks follow each careful pass. Gradually, the broad blade and curved edges take their finished form.

Carved from ash. Finished one cut at a time

A carving tool shapes the wooden handle’s ornament, following its curved surface. The natural grain remains visible between the details. Each cut adds texture to the part of the artifact that rests in your hands.

Add your words. Make the legend personal

Choose Custom Engraving to add a name, date, message or logo to the wooden handle. We laser-engrave your design into the wood, connecting the Leviathan Axe with your own story. Available as an optional addition.

Your engraving. Finished with a steady hand

After laser engraving, we paint the recessed design by hand to give it greater contrast against the wood. Each letter becomes clearer—a personal message finished with the same care as the artifact around it.

Protect the blade. Complete it with leather

Add the handcrafted 2-Piece Premium Leather Sheath to cover the blade during storage and transport. Its fitted shape and stitched details complement the steel and carved wood. Sheath available separately.

Put the legend to work. Choose a hardened blade

Add Heat Treatment & Hardening for a functional Leviathan Axe suited to chopping. Hardening improves edge retention, helping the blade stay sharp through use. Bring the artifact beyond display with this optional upgrade.

Display the legend. Give it a Drakkar of its own

The optional silver-coloured Drakkar Axe Holder supports your axe horizontally within a Norse longship design. Its prow and oars frame the artifact, making it a centrepiece for your collection. Holder sold separately.

An exceptional gift. A story waiting to be opened

Add the Premium Wooden Gift Box No. 2 to make the unveiling part of the gift. Beneath the wooden lid rests an artifact chosen for someone whose favourite stories you know by heart. Gift box available separately.
