This project was initiated out of YAC's personal curiosity — it answers the question, what is in season when? This is not always obvious at the grocery store. This limited-edition poster provides a detailed list of the fish and shellfish sustainably available each month along the West Coast of the United States, from Seattle to San Diego. The seafood listed each month is the result of a comprehensive research project with the Seafood Watch program at the Monterey Bay Aquarium and the Seafood for the Future program in Long Beach. They bring this calendar to your kitchen to help navigate the seasons, support local fisherman, sustainable practices, and enjoy the best that each meal has to offer.
