Black Ivory Coffee
Rum Barrel Aged Black Ivory Coffee
Product Description
For an even more exclusive and inventive coffee experience, these Black Ivory Coffee Arabica coffee beans have been barrel aged inside an Oak barrel that previously held world class fine (XO) rum. Before being barrel aged, Black Ivory Coffee beans have notes of chocolate, tamarind, spice, and a hint of grass without the burnt or bitter taste of regular coffee. The introduction of XO rum adds flavors of raw honey, dark cherry chocolate, sultana, date and prune, brown sugar, toffee, cedar, and tobacco. Only a few pounds were produced in the 2019 vintage, making this one of the world's rarest and most limited coffees. Even if you're already an expert in coffee, this unique brew offers the ultimate exclusive and distinctive experience.
Black Ivory Coffee also donates a portion of its proceeds to the Golden Triangle Asian Elephant Foundation in Northern Thailand to send local children to a national park where they can see wild elephants for the first time and learn about the need for habitat protection.

FAQ
From the stomach, the beans are deposited on the ground where they are collected by the families who look after the elephants. Once collected they are brought to the local school where the cherries are weighed and the families are paid. Upon receipt of the coffee cherries, local high school students are hired to wash, clean and rake the coffee cherries under the supervision of the owner of Black Ivory Coffee. Once washed and sun-dried, the coffee cherries are hulled by machine, sorted three times (by machine and humans) where they are graded. The top-grade is then roasted, packaged and sent to you.
Do you make this coffee in Kuerig Vue cups?Black Ivory Coffee Company does not make capsules suitable for the Kuerig Vue cups and there is no intention to do so in the future.
How many cups of coffee could you expect to get from one package? The number of cups depend on the size of the cup, coffee to water ratio, grind size, type of brewer and personal taste. In general about 4 single shot espresso, 2 mugs of pour over coffee. With the Black Ivory Coffee syphon I would say it serves 2-4 people.
