No chemicals are used to protect the wood fiber - timber becomes naturally protected and resembles walnut in its appearance due to proprietary high-temperature treatment in special chambers. The thermo-treatement process makes wood water repellent and protected against decay for over 25 years. The thermo-treated wood planks are fastened together with ecologically friendly EPDM backing rubber strips, which are weather durable, and as a result, non-slip on ceramic, cement, and wood floors.
