Wimbledon Cufflink Company
Wimbledon Eagle // White + Black + Red + Gold
Product Description
These cufflinks feature the two-headed bird of prey combining Wimbledon’s ancient and royal heritage with modern sporting prowess.
Legend has it that Caesar himself occupied Wimbledon Common when he invaded Britain in 55 BC. The eagle was the standard carried by his legions. The gold markings on each of the bird’s wings represent royalty and aristocracy – the fret symbol represents the Spencer family, who once lived in the historic Wimbledon Park House. Wimbledon Football Club later adopted this proud avian symbol as the perfect representation of footballing, excellence and ambition.
