Color In The Radio // Metal Print
Product Description
This high speed shot of a radio style light bulb shows what happens when the light bulb is filled with ground up chalk pastels and shot with a pellet gun. Metal prints are a relatively new medium for printing photos, made by infusing dyes directly into specially coated aluminum sheets. The result, as evident in Color In The Radio, is incredible color and clarity.

About the Designer
Jon Smith is an artist trapped in the body of an analytical chemist. Wide Eyed Illuminations is a photography project that started when he picked up a camera for the first time in 2010. In just a few short years, his unique high speed photography has captured the imaginations of The Weekly Flickr!, The Daily Mail, The Telegraph, Wired.com, and Popphoto.com. Smith is drawn to shooting light bulbs because they are an everyday object so often overlooked. He wants his audience to find beauty in the ordinary.
