Product Description
The Impact Table features a table top crafted from premium hand-selected boards of American Ash, the same material Louisville Sluggers are made of. The finish is formulated for hardwood floors and forms a velvety smooth surface the repels water and dirt. The image of Lake Manicouagan, which is actually the impact crater of an asteroid 3 miles in diameter, is CNC milled into the table top then filled with a biodegradable epoxy resin that is hand sanded to be perfectly flush.
The legs are constructed from precision laser cut steel plate that is bent on a 150 ton press break. The steel joints are welded, ground, then polished, resulting in a seamless finish with no visible weld bead. They're also finished with a powder coating that's more durable than paint, so the legs will not rust or corrode for decades.
The legs are affixed to the hardwood with robust M8 stainless steel threaded inserts manufactured by Rampa Tech in Germany. These inserts are designed to survive hundreds of disassembles. The Impact Table ships with 4 industrial grade leveling mounts that can be used to level the table on any surface.

About the Designer
Sam Tresco founded White Gorge Designs to push against the growing trend of disposable furniture. After an apprenticeship with master craftsman Chad Parkinson, he began building his own furniture professionally six years ago. Each piece of White Gorge furniture is designed to last 75 to 100 years, and crafted by hand from sustainable, recyclable, and biodegradable materials in Salt Lake City, Utah.
