Antique Kurdish Rug // Circa 1890 // 8'9"L x 5'3"W
Product Description
This splendidly dyed Northwest Persian rug circa 1890 is a statement piece. The unique color palette demands attention, and the gorgeous medallions, motifs, and border are enough to keep that attention for a lifetime. A great piece to completely revamp a bedroom or seating area.
An exquisite central medallion-within-medallion over a (rare) yellow field. The medallions and field hold a scattering of motifs including lotus, peonies, lilies, roses, and wings. The primary border features a unique interpretation of the “boteh,” each with a snake motif within.
