Alternating Caucasian geometric hooked medallions float on a rich, blue field. Within the structured medallions we find the weaver’s skill and creativity—within each medallion are a variety of motifs, stylistically interpreted (hands-on-hips, flowers, ram’s horn). Cross-like stars reside between medallions, and a fantastic flowering vine meanders its way about the rug’s border.

— Condition: Good overall condition. Low pile but solid foundation and edges. Edges and ends secure. Wear to foundation in a few areas on center of rug, but no holes. Reverse of rug has historic slight residue along the length of the rug after wash (no damage to rug or smell, or functional detriment to rug). Wear otherwise commensurate with age and hand knotted origin.
