Wonderfully bold and yet perfectly balanced, this antique Bakhtiari Runner is truly a masterpiece. With a unique border and fabulous cantaloupe-and-black colored field, this rug is one of a kind. This rug tops our list of rugs-we-hope-don’t-sell-and-get-to-keep.
The field is divided into “garden panel” sections by a unique yet pleasing cantaloupe-colored border. Each panel within the field is mirrored by another. Motifs include cypress trees, dandelions, oak leafs, and birds. Perhaps the most unique part of this rug is its border—plenty of negative space and oversized motifs in fantastic colors add fabulously to the overall cohesion of the rug.

— Condition: Good condition overall with medium pile border, and low pile field. Minor imperfections throughout. The edge border has been machine-stitched, though done relatively well. One 2” section of selvage is slightly indented (though secure).
