A snapshot of history, this full-pile “Gol Farang” Afshar hails from a unique merging of Western and Eastern culture. This turn-of-the-century rug includes Western motifs (stylized roses) on an unmistakable Afshar field and border, capturing a period of time when Western demand influenced rug production in a unique, and very particular way. Lovely, unique square shape.

FAQ
Afshar rugs are woven by the Afshari tribes, who settled in a variety of regions, but mostly in Southeast Persia. They wove a wide range of different designs, and their pieces are of consistent, high quality and are often easily distinguishable from other weaving regions due to their uniqueness.
