Calm The Ham // Patek Ref. 2499
Product Description
The Perpetual Calendar Chronograph produced in 1951, the Patek Philippe, is a legendary amongst watch aficionados. The ref. 2499 is the direct successor to the famous 1518, which was the world's first wristwatch to combine a perpetual calendar with a chronograph in serial production. The complexity of the perpetual calendar is rooted in the innovative manufacturer's history. With only 349 produced in the 35 years after it’s release, it’s not hard to see why. Rarer still are the two versions of the watch cased in platinum shown in this illustration, the ref. 2499. One of which is rumored to be owned by an equally iconic rock celebrity; Eric Clapton.
Depicted in this hand drawn print are the perpetual calendar and the moon phase dial that are unmistakable features of the 2499 collection. This lithographic print was pressed in Long Island City, New York on 8" x 10" 100lb FSC certified archival cover stock using the best Van Sons Elite soy based inks.
