The Chicago Manual Wind // 006 // c.1912 Renewal

The Chicago Manual Wind is a 100% made in America pocket watch conversion. This watch makes a statement, tells a story, and is completely one-of-a-kind. This antique, 16 size (51mm case), Elgin National Watch Company pocket watch movement (timekeeping portion) was originally made in 1912 near Chicago, Illinois. This particular watch features an interesting “3-Finger” style bridge, 17 jewel, adjusted movement. The movement has been professionally restored and is keeping time like the day it was made. The Patent Pending case is 3D printed from stainless steel and infiltrated with molten bronze before a “Medieval Pewter" patina was applied. Each case is engraved with a unique serial number, this watch being serial #006.

The custom made, nickel plated crown is at 12 o'clock, also known as the “openface” pocket watch style. All watches have open, exhibition backs. Both the front and back crystals are made from Corning Gorilla Glass with an oleophobic (fingerprint resistant) coating. The dial is original, white, single sunk enamel with black painted numerals, Montgomery style minute markers, military time markers and highlighted red 5min markers and original blued steel hands.
