The Boston is a 100% made in America pocket watch conversion. This watch makes a statement, tells a story, and is completely one-of-a-kind. This antique, 12 size (47mm case), Waltham Watch Company pocket watch movement (timekeeping portion) was originally made in 1904 near Boston, Massachusetts. This particular watch features a rare, Riverside grade (19 jewel) adjusted movement. The movement has been professionally restored and is keeping time like the day it was made. The Patent Pending case is 3D printed from stainless steel and infiltrated with molten bronze before a “Medieval Pewter" patina was applied. Each case is engraved with a unique serial number, this watch being serial #047.
The custom made, gold plated crown is at 12 o'clock, also known as the “openface” pocket watch style. All watches have open, exhibition backs. Both the front and back crystals are made from Corning Gorilla Glass with an oleophobic (fingerprint resistant) coating. The dial is the original stylized metal with sunken second dial, painted gold numerals, and blued steel hands. All bands are 22mm and handcrafted in the United Stated using American Leather. Each watch comes in Vortic’s Artisan Series salvaged walnut watch box adorned with hand-cut leather straps and custom brass hardware.
