The Chicago is part of Vortic's flagship line of watches; the American Artisan Series. Everything between the two impeccably strong/clear Gorilla Glass crystals is ~100 years old, and started its life as a railroad era pocket watch made by the Elgin National Watch Company near Chicago, Illinois in the late 1800's and early 1900's. Vortic salvages and restores vintage movements, meticulously using them to create completely custom watches with history. Vortic uses a patent-pending case that is 3d printed from stainless steel, custom-machined hardware, handcrafted bands made from authentic American cowhide, as well as re-created vintage parts to create a watch that is designed and assembled in Colorado, 100% made in the USA, and absolutely one-of-a-kind. Each watch arrives in one of Vortic's beautifully wrapped and sealed walnut watch boxes and comes with a generous limited lifetime warranty.
