Vitruvian Proportions

Vitruvian Proportions

An Ancient Study Of Man

The original Vitruvian Man is a sketch by Leonardo da Vinci from the years 1490, that is accompanied by annotations from the architect Vitruvius. The famous piece depicts a man superimposed in multiple positions, and the notes speak about the anatomy and proportions of man. The sketch inspired many, many derivative works, both at the time, and even today. This collection of canvases is a representation of sketches done in a similar style.
