Login for PriceProduct Description
In 1904 one of Louis Cartier's friends, early aviation pioneer Alberto Santos-Dumont, asked if Cartier could design a watch that he could wear while flying. Previously the only timekeeping options were clocks and pocket watches, but Cartier came up with the Santos, the first men's wristwatch on record. A few years later, it went into production, and now we have the current version of the Cartier Santos with decades of additional refinement.
Appraised at $5,200.
