For the first time the 3D knitting technique is being used to produce a huge blanket. The whole blanket is made in one single knitting process. The filling thread gets shot into the garment during the knitting process and is therefore directly integrated into the fabric. Two layers are getting knitted together at certain points to give the blanket it's three dimensional appearance. Dots is not only incredibly innovative, it is incredibly big and ideal for romantic hours of togethernes on the sofa with a good book and a glass of mulled wine...

About the Designer
Patrick Frey was born in Seoul, South Korea and in 2007 he founded Patrick Frey Studio for Design. Patrick's studio has collaborated with Nils Holger Moormann, Bree, Authentics, Richard Lampert, Elmar Flötotto, Vial and others. In his first year Patrick Frey won the highly endowed prize for junior designers, the Lucky Strike Junior Design Award. Many of his products have won international prizes, including the iF Product Design Award, Chicago Athenaeum Good Design Award, Design Award Baden Wuerttemberg. In 2010, he taught at the HAWK University of Applied Sciences and Arts in Hildesheim.
