Mozzarella and Ricotta Cheese Kit
Product Description
Make your own succulent Mozzarella and creamy Ricotta with this Urban Cheesecraft Kit! Your Mozzarella and Ricotta D.I.Y. Cheese Kit includes ingredients which allow you to make at least 8 batches of cheese. You can, of course, re-use the recipes, thermometer and cloth and find refills of rennet tablets, salt and citric acid in my shop when you run out (and are hooked ;).
Simply add a gallon of cows' milk and in one hour, you will be eating and sharing homemade, all-natural mozzarella or ricotta! A batch is about 1 1/2-2 lb. depending on whole or low-fat milk, or mozz vs. ricotta, so you'll have plenty of supplies to experiment with different herbs, shapes and recipes.

About the Designer
Claudia Lucero is the entrepreneur behind UrbanCheesecraft.com and DIY Cheese Kits, which she sells through Etsy, specialty food shops, and select Whole Foods Market locations. Claudia's love for homemade cheese came at a young age when she learned to make Paneer at the Indian restaurant where she worked in high school. She picked it back up in 2008, soon realized others could benefit from simple kits and has never looked back. She went on to develop the home cheesemaking kits for Williams-Sonoma’s Agrarian product line. Her book, One-Hour Cheese launches in May 2014, filling the gap for cheesemaking beginners of all ages. She is always in the test kitchen rejecting recipe dogmas and breaking rules for the sake of no-nonsense deliciousness- she strives to do for aged cheeses what she has for fresh cheeses, which is make them virtually no-fail and fun to make! Her dream project is creating fun how-to videos which she hopes to make needlessly complicated by incorporating the look and feel of stop-motion animation, art-house films and music videos. Somewhere in there she will also travel the world to learn to make regional cheeses from wise and grouchy elders. She lives in Portland, Oregon with her partner Jeff and their curd-loving chihuahua, Lil' Mama.
