A concept flipped on its head: the typical hard and tightly tied knot becomes a soft and cozy pillow.

While a knot's purpose is to be tight, strong and secure, Turk's Head defies it all by serving as a warm, comforting object that maintains high decorative value. All tubes are machine knit from Icelandic wool and hand-stuffed with acrylic stuffing.

Ragnheiður Ösp

Ragnheiður Ösp was born in Iceland in 1981, and grew up in a small town by the ocean in the southwest region. She always knew she wanted to create "something", but product design didn't actually come to mind until she visited a show in Reykjavik, Iceland in 1999—featuring designs by Mark Newson, Jasper Morisson and Michael Young. "I figured I could be creating my own precious objects that would hopefully affect other people in the same way my collections of things affected me..."
