Ukiyo-e Heroes
Blood and Thunder
Product Description
In the Ukiyo-e Heroes project, illustrator Jed Henry and traditional woodblock printmaker Dave Bull have combined their talents to create Japanese woodblock-inspired prints. Machine printed on handmade Japanese paper, each piece brings a surprising twist to iconic heroes, villains, and monsters spanning almost every genre. Modern costuming has been traded for the medieval, but the essence of each character remains.
1800's Japanese prints often feature epic battles between heroes and giant monsters, and this game perfectly fits that tradition. Henry was so excited to adapt this particular battle into an ukiyo-e style on handmade Japanese mulberry paper.
