9FT x 9FT would provide adequate space to accommodate the stand.

What wind speed will the total assembly withstand?

We would recommend taking it down in high wind especially if you have concerns. There is no exact number we could give you.

How about the height, does the ceiling has to be 9ft high too?

It can be assembled to fit under an 8 ft ceiling but 9 ft will allow you to set it higher.

It is powder-coated steel and so it is resistant but not proof.
