The Master Grand Tourbillon is elegant, from the elegant solid platinum case to the striking black dial. It's the first Jaeger-LeCoultre Master Control with an integrated Tourbillon. Features include a brand new enlarged balance desin, with the tourbillon cage in T5 titanium with a mass of 0.28 grams — necessary for the rapid eight-times-per-second tourbillon oscillation. (The tourbillon houses the different elements of the escapement in a mobile cage and increases the operational accuracy of the watch by compensating for errors of rate in vertical positions.) The hour hand is adjusted in quick-set 1 hour increments in either direction (via a slight rotation of the crown), and synchronized with home time.
