Chimborazo
Product Description
Chimborazo is the highest mountain in Ecuador, and because of the slight bulge in the earth’s shape around the equator, is also the farthest mountain summit from the earth’s surface – 2 kilometers farther away from the center than the peaks of everest. It straddles the amazon rainforest while kissing the pacific coastal lowlands, and its glacier-capped peaks provide a lifeline of fresh water to the people living below, even as its dangerous, avalanche-heavy summits entice thrill-seeking climbers.
This glass was handblown, and then pressed while still malleable with 3D printing and modeling software to create a scale mold of the mountain, using real topographical data, so the tiny glass mountain is an integral part of your new favorite pint glass.
