The Kiss by Gustav Klimt
Product Description
Perched atop of what appears to be a flowery meadow are two lovers seemingly entranced by each other. One of Austrian symbolist painter Gustav Klimt's most famous works of art, "The Kiss" was controversial and groundbreaking for its time. Taking cue from Art nouveau trends, the mosaic-like patterns and kaleidoscope of color seem reminiscent of imagery out of a Bollywood film. The piece was painted sometime between 1907 and 1908 in the midst of Klimt's "Golden Period", and also during his obsession with eroticism and female form. Boasting fade-resistant ink, this is not just any ordinary art print replication, as it's equipped to last for more than 100 years. Hang this multi-piece version anywhere you like and it's sure to remain the eye-catching piece it always has been.
