Taking cue from Art nouveau trends, the mosaic-like patterns and kaleidoscope of color seem reminiscent of imagery out of a Bollywood film. The piece was painted sometime between 1907 and 1908 in the midst of Klimt's "Golden Period", and also during his obsession with eroticism and female form.
