1945 Harley Davidson WLA Flathead
Product Description
Customized and restored by Tim Harney, this 1945 Harley Davidson WLA Flathead is identical to the ones originally used in WW2. It took 2 full years to build this bike from only original dead stock parts. The motorcycle started as a servi-car used in Germany, and made its way back to the states in the late 70's. It was in bad shape when Tim got it, so he chopped the rear end off, found original Harley frame castings, and mated them to a dropped out and down new rear frame. The frame then went out to 3 stages of nickel plating and polishing, and a paint and powder coat. The engine was even pulled apart, the cases re-machined, and the entire engine blue-printed top to bottom.
