Rythme // Sonia Delaunay // 1938
Product Description
Sonia Delaunay (1885-1979) was a Ukrainian-born French artist, and co-founder of the Orphism art movement: a style known for its mismatched geometric shapes and strong, defined colors. She was also known as a designer and builder of clothes, textiles, furniture, and theater sets. In 1964, she became the first still-living female artist to have a retrospective at the Louvre, and was named an officer of the French Legion of Honor in 1975.
