The Federalist Wines // Mixed Reds // 6 Bottles
Product Description
Celebrate our American heritage with a perfectly paired glass of The Federalist wine! With two bottles each of three incredible red wines, you can raise a glass to friendship and the freedoms we enjoy every day
On July 11, 1804 off the Hudson shore at Weehawken, the original Federalist, Alexander Hamilton was shot in a duel by Aaron Burr and died from his injuries. Since dueling is no longer socially acceptable, we suggest solving any differences over a glass of this 2012 The Federalist Dueling Pistols, Dry Creek Valley, a dual of Zinfandel and Syrah. This wine exhibits bright cherry jam aromas, with big fruit flavors enhanced by hints of spice and lively acidity.
Next up, the 2014 The Federalist Zinfandel, Dry Creek Valley is hand-crafted to bring out the true individuality of this hearty, decidedly American grape. The Federalist vineyard in the Southern edge of Dry Creek is just a mile from the Russian River, with cool and foggy conditions until mid-morning, keeping the fruit from over-ripening and allowing for a longer growing season. This produces more mature fruit and results in rich, full-bodied flavor characteristics. The Federalist Zinfandel has robust fruit with bright berry fruit character, and its lively acidity allows it to partner well with a wide variety of foods.
Last but not least, the 2014 The Federalist Honest Red Blend, Lodi pays homage to one of the most highly regarded American Presidents of all time, Abraham Lincoln. Lincolnâs accomplishments are numerous, though he is probably best known for emancipating the slaves, preserving the union following the Civil War and sadly being assassinated while in office. His legacy, while not tied directly to the Federalist, is worthy of our respect, honestly.
