Fossil Dinosaur Tooth // Spinosaurus
Product Description
This genuine fossilized Dinosaur Tooth comes from the Spinosaurus (named "Spine Lizard" for the array of spines forming a fin on its back), which may have attained lengths of over 50 feet and was perhaps the largest of all the carnivorous dinosaurs.
First unearthed in Egypt in 1915, Spinosaurus ranged far across a large portion of what is now North Africa. Complete skeletal specimens of Spinosaurus are very rare, and although Spinosaurus may well have shed their teeth continuously over the course of their lifespan, these specimens are becoming increasingly more difficult to obtain.
This A-quality tooth is typical of Spinosaurus: long, conical and without any serrations. It has excellent enamel and is in beautiful shape for a fossil of this age. This specimen is from Morocco and is approximately 100 million years old (Cretaceous Period).
