Carcharodontosaurus Tooth
Product Description
Carcharodontosaurus is among the largest predatory dinosaurs to ever walk the earth. Fully-grown individuals might have gotten more than 40 feet long and weighed more than 10 tons (larger than a T. rex!) with a massive body and heavy tail, but small three-fingered arms with sharp claws. Named for the genus of Great White Sharks, Carcharodontosaurus had long, sharp, serrated teeth up to 8 inches long— many of which have been found in the deserts of Morocco and elsewhere around North Africa.
The Carcharodontosaurus lived during the Cretaceous period, making this fossil Carcharodontosaurus Tooth some 100 million years old. This particular specimen is 3 inches long and gives one a pretty good idea of the chomping power of this monstrous animal. This tooth has a good section of the root, and lovely enamel and serrations. This unique piece is an excellent and unusual tooth for any collector or dinosaur enthusiast!
