Long live Burgundy! This racy, cherrystone prize is poised between exuberance and concentration. Mr. Chambertin, Pierre Damoy, first harvested his La Justice in 2008. But Pierre’s winemaking skills go much further back.

Pierre’s great-great-grandfather set his roots in Gevrey-Chambertin in 1920. Five generations later, Pierre took the reins of the family legacy from his uncle. Each plot of land is hand farmed to ensure that the soils, the vines, and the wines are a pure expression of this remarkable terroir.

Known for highly structured, intense Pinot Noir, Gevrey-Chambertin is often called the holy grail of Burgundy. These Pinots are long lived and flavors of leather, mushroom, and spice development from the rich, red berries and ginger of youth. La Justice is all this and more. It’s exemplifies why Pierre has risen to the top ranks of Who’s Who in Burgundy winemaking.
