The surfer's cornucopia, they say. This image was taken on the eve of Thanksgiving—gray skies, howling winds and a steady rainfall that lasted well into darkness. The day's conditions kept all but the die hard out of the water. A delicious turkey dinner was on the minds of a many, let alone the pressures of having a bountiful meal the next day, but for the few that made the paddle into New York's steel gray lineups that day, it was visions like this that replayed as their turkeys were carved the next day.
