Product Description

The Artiglio steamer and its successor, the Artiglio II, were the most important marine relic recovery ships of the 1920s and 1930s.
With a crew consisting of the most experienced Italian divers, these steamers were born with the goal of recovering the cargo of sunken ships. Thanks to innovations such as the decompression chamber and the butoscopic turret, the crew could operate at depths at that time retained impossible.

The adventures and successes of the Artiglio were celebrated and acclaimed worldwide, the most famous surely being the recovery of the treasure of Egypt, which consisted of coins, bars and ingots of gold and silver, found in the stormy waters of Brest at a depth which at the time was considered impossible for divers to reach. To this enterprise, TCM dedicates a watch with a massive titanium and steel case, bulls eye glass, and valve for helium discharge, allowing the ability to reach a depth of 1000 meters.
