Tank Garage Winery came to life in a 1930s era gas station in the Napa Valley town of Calistoga, California, an area graced with world-class vineyards and cool Californian wines.
The winery and tasting room are the dream of two longtime friends who, after decades of collective experience in farming and creating world-class wine, decided to celebrate the heart and soul of vintage California culture and creativity. They've endeavored to create a small collection of “one off,” uniquely-crafted wines that draw heavily on the owners’ personal lifestyles and experiences. Tank Garage Winery incorporates diverse influences from the team's world and community to create wines that celebrate and embrace the past, future, and present.
When Tank Garage set out to create a Pride-themed wine, they came across the talented artist and art director Hizze Fletcher-King and her art piece Closet Door #1, a mixed media piece grounded in queer-core culture that celebrates Pride and the LGBTQ+ community.
This zesty blend of Albariño, Marsanne, Malvasia Bianca, Gewürztraminer, and Tocai Friulano is a celebration in and of itself. It’s tart, it’s crisp, and everything you want in a summertime sipper. So pop a bottle, live large, shine bright, and always remember, you’ll never dream alone.
Love & Pride is the third Tank Cares label, and they are thrilled to be giving back to LGBTQ Connection, a foundation established in Napa and Sonoma counties in 2011. Napa and Sonoma are only an hour north of San Francisco, but they are world's apart in terms of visibility and community for the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, and questioning people in those communities. LGBTQ Connection is an initiative fueled by youth and other emerging leadership that fosters a healthier, more vibrantly diverse and inclusive community.
