Is the material hard all around?

The zipper would be the on the only part that is porous. The rest of the luggage is hard all around including the area under the connectable flaps.

What style are the wheels?

The wheels are steel ball barring spinners that are designed to have a long life.

Is there any physical differences other than the color of the product?

Purple and Wine Red are less expensive because they don't have TSA locks. That is the only difference.
