About the Designer

In 2007 Maxwell Arndt had to choose between business and art when it came to deciding a path for his undergraduate studies. He chose business, but art never left his life. As is evidenced by the multiple products he designed and sold while in school, his effort to combine both passions was working.

After graduating in 2011, he collaborated with longtime friend Colin McSteen under the Swag Brewery brand, developing multiple craft beer-themed products. Their inspiration? A mutual passion for great beer, creative design, and frequent cups of strong coffee. Their experience in product design, entrepreneurship, graphic design, and brewery branding has yielded multiple successful products, including the wildly popular Beer Soap.

Maxwell currently works full-time managing the business and developing new products, and Colin serves as the art director and brand consultant - often in the wee hours of the morning. Now separated by nearly 3,000 miles (Max is in Florida and Colin is in Oregon), they communicate daily and do their best to make up for lost beer drinking time when they do have the chance to meet in person.
