Designed in honor of the preciously limited daylight in the Scandinavian High Arctic region, the Svalbard Arabesque Quartz watch is part of an extremely limited edition run, with only 500 pieces ever made. Featuring a backwards and counterclockwise mechanism on a dial designed with eccentric, backwards, Hindu-Arabic numerals, it operates on a classic Japanese quartz movement, and is covered by mineral crystal, making it a simple and gorgeous homage to a simple and gorgeous way of life.

The backward watch brings about a new challenge in time telling. This watch features counter-clockwise movement with a dial printed in reverse. It may seem complicated at first, but all the same rules of telling time apply. Just read the hour hand, and then the minute hand.
