On March 18, 1965, the “Voskhod-2” spaceship was launched from Baikonur Cosmodrome. Captain Pavel Ivanovich Belyayev and co-pilot Alexey Arkhipovich Leonov worked together to open a new chapter of space exploration history. Due to the failure of on-board navigation systems, Belyayev became the first in the world to manually navigate the ship. The Sturmanskie Flagship Column Wheel Chronograph Automatic was specially manufactured to pay tribute to the watch that he wore for space exploration.
