Product Description
The Mars Swiss Automatic watch is the culmination of a 5-year collaboration between Sturmanskie and the Russian Space Agency. Designed to be the trainer watch for cosmonauts, every component is constructed to withstand the rigors of space exploration. The watch case is comprised of more than 50 individual parts with an inner and outer case design. The outer case is traditional 316L stainless steel, but the inner case is constructed of beryllium to ensure the watch is anti-magnetic. The entire movement is encased in the beryllium which is then housed inside a hardened mineral crystal compartment so the watch appears to float as in "zero gravity" inside the external case. Limited to a production of only 250 pieces per model, there will be only a small number released to each country.
