Imilac Pallasite Meteorite // Exterior Part Slice
Product Description
This part-slice of the Pallasite Meteorite, Ilmilac was initially found in 1822 in the Atacama Desert in Chile. It features an external fusion crust with evidence of its decent through the atmosphere and astonishing melt pattern. Pallasite Meteorites are some of the rarest meteorites types, and consists of iron and translucent crystalline Olivine that are theorized to have originated at the core-mantle boundary of early protoplanets destroyed during the formation of the solar system 4.6 billion years ago. The stability and stunning translucent Olivine makes Imilac among the most sought-after meteorites among collectors.
