Artist Deborah Sahvlik uses multiple inventive forms of free creation in the Geometric Starburst Pillow. A freeform starburst in orange and pink is first needle and wet feted into a base grey wool and cashmere fabric. A geometric design in dark gold is embroidered over as a last step, framing the image with fine detail. It's a handcrafted artisan detail that brings the look and touch of this pillow to another level of luxe.

Deborah Shavlik

Brooklyn based artist and industrial designer Deborah Shavlik started her line of soft but edgy home furnishings and accessories in 2011. After a dozen years designing lighting fixtures in corporate offices, both a creative shift and new materials to play with was needed. The majority of her line utilizes a felting process, which is similar to tattooing, and is created by combining natural fibers with wool and cashmere blend fabrics to create the softly subversive designs and iconography inspired by science and math as well as our natural world.
