About the Designer
Steven Vigil is a full-time working artist from ABQ / Santa Fe / Las Vegas, New Mexico. His artwork encompasses a variety of media, including: oils, acrylics, watercolors, pastels, and ink. The art that Steven creates can be inspired from a curve, a color, a feeling, a shadow, nature, or even from the medium itself. Some pieces are thought-out while others are free. They can be technically tight and illustrative, loose and random, or both. His recent watercolor pieces play with movement through the use of color and ink. They may give the viewer a sense of anticipation, often describing what is not in the painting as much as what is. They are about capturing an intimate moment and showing it off in a simple and totally satisfying way. What is most important to him is that his work continually evolves and never remains static. He is never quite satisfied. Steven currently lives and works in Oakland, CA.
