He hit 714 home runs in his career and currently still holds the record for the most seasons with 40+ home runs in the league, at 11 seasons total out of his 22 seasons in the majors. "The Great Bambino" was part of the inaugural Hall of Fame class in 1936 and had his #3 retired by the Yankees in 1948.
