Steelport's flagship 8" Carbon Steel Chef Knife is a full tang kitchen knife with a solid, one-piece construction. This drop-forged blade is composed of American 52100 steel from blade tip to end cap. Proprietary heat treatment and Cryo process results in a fine grained, wear-resistant knife with unmatched 65 HRC hardness at the blade for long-lasting sharpness, and a softer 30 HRC spine for lifelong durability. The smooth, hand-polished spine and contoured bolster offer a supremely comfortable pinch grip hold. The handle is made of beautiful Oregon Big Leaf Maple burl stabilized with resin to ensure it meets tough kitchen requirements.
