Each piece is sanded, polished, and painted with three coats of superheated enamel so that the finish is chip- and scratch-resistant, and won't cause scratches on fine surfaces. Small bumps under the lid that create droplets of liquid from steam while roasting vegetables, or meats, so you get the perfect dish, every time.
